The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is the world’s largest association for administrative support staff, with over 600 chapters and 40,000 members and affiliates worldwide. For over 60 years, we have provided up-to-date research on office trends, cutting-edge publications, outstanding seminar and conferences, and top-notch resources to help administrative professionals enhance their skills and become more effective contributors to their employers.
IAAP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting administrative/office professionals to become recognized leaders and to enhance their collective value, image, competence and influence in the workplace. The
Brainerd Chapter meets each month, providing educational opportunities and networking to its members. Chapter Meetings are usually the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. (Subject to change dependent on special events and presenter's availability. Upcoming meeting information is always listed in the monthly meeting announcement at the top of this page and on the Officer's Page.)IAAP promotes lifelong learning and professional development. IAAP offers certification opportunities for earning professional designations of both the CPS (Certified Professional Secretary) and CAP (Certified Administrative Professional). Our monthly meetings consist of a one hour "educational program", meaning a presentation by an external business person, as well as networking and conducting regular chapter business.
